Supported Employment

Program Description

The Supported Employment Program is a CARF accredited program located at both New Vistas in Fort Lauderdale and the Tropical Center at our South Branch in Hollywood. It offers individuals of Henderson Mental Health Center the opportunity to obtain and succeed in a career position of their choice and for which they qualify. Upon being referred to the program each individual is assessed by a HMHC psychiatrist and has the opportunity to receive ongoing psychiatric care, as well as, medication management if they so choose.

HMHC's Supported Employment Program provides work readiness training, job placement assistance, employment resources, as well as ongoing on-site and off-site support to individuals who may benefit from the emotional support and advocacy necessary to obtain and maintain community based integrated, competitive employment. The goal is to provide each person with the tools for maximum symptom reduction while supporting them to attain goals that will increase the individual's quality of life.
