14TH ANNUAL PROFILES OF EXCELLENCE GALA
FOR HENDERSON MENTAL HEALTH CENTER
HONORED GOODWIN CHALLENGE DONORS

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Henderson Mental Health Center’s Profiles of Excellence Gala was held at the elegant Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six near Fort Lauderdale Beach where over 200 guests experienced a taste of the islands with this year’s theme – “Carnival – Caribbean Style.” All proceeds from this annual fundraiser benefits Henderson Mental Health Center, South Florida’s oldest and largest not-for profit, behavioral healthcare system.

The evening honored the major donors to the Campaign Challenge through the Leo Goodwin Foundation, which was announced at last year’s event. “We are very excited to have accomplished so much towards this million dollar challenge. This event gave us the perfect opportunity to thank many of the donors who have helped us to move closer to achieving our goal,” said Dr. Steven Ronik, Henderson Mental Health Center’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Jon Gundlach, chair of the Campaign Committee added, “It is truly a shining example of the philanthropic commitment of our community to see that we’ve accomplished so much for this campaign in such a short time. We are deeply indebted to the Trustees of the Leo Goodwin Foundation for their belief in the wonderful work that Henderson Mental Health Center does in South Florida.”

Each year, Henderson Mental Health Center provides services to over 17,000 children and adults in South Florida. Their programs and services are recognized for their excellence and evidence-based treatment, not just locally but throughout the nation. Over $100,000 was raised for this year’s gala, which will help their staff to continue to provide these essential services to those in need throughout the community.

Top sponsors for this year’s event were SunTrust Bank, Mary N. Porter, Jack W. Kuhn, Jr., Janssen Pharmaceutical, Seitlin & Company, and Gold Coast Magazine.
