Henderson Mental Health Center Awarded
“Outstanding Community Partner” by Quality of Life Council at Nova Southeastern University

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (May 16, 2008) – Nova Southeastern University and The Coordinating Council of Broward County formed the Quality of Life Council in 2003 to address critical needs in Broward County in a broad range of important topics that span healthcare, work force, education, poverty and a number of other vital issues that affect us here in Broward County. The council’s members include many significant figures from our Broward County community such as: Children’s Services Council, North Broward Hospital District, Bellsouth Business, Henderson Mental Health Center, South Florida Region Planning Council, along with many Directors, Associates and Faculty from NSU's Colleges and Schools.

The mission of the NSU/CCB Quality of Life (QOL) Council is a simple one: take the most serious problems affecting the quality of life in Broward County, bring the best minds of NSU's faculty, students, and community providers to bear, and the results will be a better quality of life for Broward County. http://www.nova.edu/cwis/qol/
