Henderson Mental Health Center receives Bears for
Young Clients from Florida Society of Enrolled Agents
The Florida Society of Enrolled Agents
collected over 2,000 teddy bears at their recent
convention in Jacksonville, FL. The Broward
County Chapter of Enrolled Agents brought home
over 100 of the bears to share them with local
children who would give them a good home. Henderson
Mental Health Center was glad to accept over
30 of these cuddly bears on behalf of the many
children who are helped by their numerous youth
programs.
Debra Goldman, Program Supervisor
for two of Henderson’s 18 programs in their
Youth and Family Services division, explained
just a few of the programs that are provided
to children who suffered from mental illness.
Over thirty Enrolled Agent members were pleased
to know that young Henderson clients would welcome
the huggable stuffed animals with open arms.
Out of the 20,000 clients that Henderson Mental
Health Center treated last year, over one-third
of them were children.
Diana Molina, President of the Broward
Chapter of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents,
was pleased to arrange for their members to
learn more about Henderson’s Youth and Family
programs and encouraged Ms. Goldman and Karen
Drumheller, Director of Development for Henderson
Mental Health Center, to come back to educate
them about other programs provided to the community,
including volunteer opportunities where their
group can help with Henderson’s needs.
