Henderson Mental
Health
Center awarded three-year CARF Accreditation
Fort
Lauderdale,
Florida - July
6, 2007 - CARF announced that Henderson
Mental
Health
Center
has been accredited for a period of three years,
the highest possible level, for its behavioral
health programs. The latest accreditation
is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation
outcome that the international accrediting commission
has awarded to Henderson
Mental
Health
Center.
This
accreditation outcome represents the highest
level of accreditation that can be awarded to
an organization and shows the organization's
substantial conformance to the standards established
by CARF. An organization receiving a Three-Year
Accreditation outcome has put itself through
a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated
to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit
that its programs and services are of the highest
quality, measurable, and accountable.
Henderson
Mental
Health Center
is south Florida's
oldest and largest, not-for-profit community-based
behavioral healthcare system with offices in
Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Henderson Mental Health Center CEO, Dr. Steven
Ronik noted, "Receiving yet another, three-year
accreditation outcome really validates the work
we do on behalf of our clients. Everyday,
we continue to provide client-centered, evidence-based
behavioral healthcare. It is very gratifying
to get this recognition for our efforts."
CARF
is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body
whose mission is to promote the quality, value,
and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative
accreditation process that centers on enhancing
the lives of the persons served. Founded
in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as
CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused
standards to help organizations measure and
improve the quality of their programs and services.
