 Crisis Services  Youth & Family Services

Crisis ServicesA crisis can occur any hour of any day to anyone. It can be caused by things in a person’s control or well out of reach. At Henderson, we are here to help. Our goal is to provide immediate intervention to people experiencing a psychiatric crisis. Early intervention in a time of need can prevent hospitalization and stabilize acute situations. Crisis Services include mobile community outreach or walk-in services, psychiatric evaluation, consultation and medication monitoring, brief therapy, and short-term inpatient psychiatric treatment and stabilization. - more -

Youth & Family Services Henderson Mental Health Center provides crisis intervention services to families or caretakers experiencing a crisis with a child. The purpose of the service is to provide clinical intervention focused on stabilizing the situation, provide support and guidance to the caretaker and assess the need for further services. - more -

 Adult Outpatient Services  Housing Services

Adult Outpatient Services Help for a mental health issue does not have to be in a hospital. People living with psychiatric disabilities can live normal lives with community support. At Henderson, we offer assistance through individual and group therapy to support people in need. That support is offered to individuals in our office-based settings or to those residing in the community that may benefit from additional services. - more -

IHousingndependent living can create a feeling of self confidence and self reliance. Reaching this goal may require a helping hand to a person coping with a serious mental illness. Henderson offers a range of housing opportunities to assist these individuals. Parkside House, Rainbow Villas and the Summit are licensed Housing Treatment Facilities that provide individuals with needed supports to achieve the goal of independent living. - more -

 Psychosocial Rehabilitation  Supported Employment

Florida Psychosocial Rehabilitation Often people diagnosed with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia or mood disorders, are identified in their teens and twenties. This causes them to miss the experiences of completed education and job training. Henderson’s Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services help to fill-in these gaps. Staff support and encouragement promotes community re-integration. - more -

Supported Employment The Supported Employment Program is a CARF accredited program located at both New Vistas in Fort Lauderdale and the Tropical Center at our South Branch in Hollywood. It offers individuals of Henderson Mental Health Center the opportunity to obtain and succeed in a career position of their choice and for which they qualify. - more -
